As you may remember (because I never shut up about it) a while back I received the Fun Factory Stronic Drei and fell madly in love with it. What you probably don’t know (because I never mentioned it in my Drei-induced frenzy) is that at the same time I received one of Fun Factory’s new awesome Click n’ Charge mini vibes – the Dolly BI. This poor little adorable toy may have been completely neglected as I basked in pulsator-produced joy but I finally took some time to give Dolly the love she deserves and now I’m ready to tell you all about it.
So, what’s the deal with this toy? It’s a petite, waterproof, rechargeable, silicone, dual-stimulation vibrator boasting 6 vibration intensities and 6 vibration rhythms. Also, it’s shaped like a dolphin.
How does it work? I love the controls on Fun Factory toys! First off- BUTTONS!!! Secondly, there’s a button devoted exclusively to turning the toy on and off and it’s bright red and labelled FUN. That’s awesome. Apart from that there are two more buttons, one with a plus sign, one with a minus sign. The plus sign raises the intensity (obvs) and the minus sign lowers it (duh) but once you get past the highest level of steady vibration hitting the plus sign takes you through the vibrators series of patterns. I’m not a pattern girl but I am a power girl and here’s where the controls really knocked my socks off – I have a tendency to get carried away cranking up the intensity and inadvertently go into the patterns. On most vibes this means a frustrating scroll through ALL the patterns to get back to the steady vibration but the folks at Fun Factory have done something really cool – no matter what vibration pattern the toy is on, hitting the minus sign brings you right back to steady vibration. LOVE that! The toy charges via a magnetic port in the base of the handle.
How does it feel? The silicone is matte and smooth- which I always love and which I always advise some water-based or hybrid lube with as it can produce some drag. Both the head of the dolphin (the insertable part of the toy) and the fin are flexible. There are raised and carved dolphin features such as a mouth, eyes and (for some unknown reason) multiple tails. The small handle is gold abs plastic with three raised buttons.
No, seriously, how does it feel? This poor toy, coming in after the Drei, I was not expecting much from it at all… I’m happy to report I underestimated the Dolly BI – by a lot. Yes, it is petite but when I inserted it and turned it on I felt pleasantly full AND had a comfortable amount of room to move it around (I tend to treat toys and my g-spot like most people treat metal detectors and the beach) It connected nicely with my clitoris and gave me the vibration I like to feel against my perineal sponge. Being me, I cranked the steady vibration up to its highest setting but found I had to back off a bit because while Dolly is more powerful than I expected the vibrations are also a little buzzy and for me if buzzy stuff is too strong my body starts to tune it out. Eventually though we got into a nice rhythm of thrusting at the second highest steady vibration level and orgasms we had by all! Ok, an orgasm was had by me but I was the only one there so I count as “all”
Things I’m down with:
- Yay silicone! Always
- Yay rechargeable!
- Yay waterproof!
- The controls are awesome- I love them
- It is surprisingly powerful for such a little guy.
- The whole line of mini vibes are such a great size for sticking in your purse AND the controls lock so it won’t just start vibrating wildly when you’re in public!
Things that make me go grr:
- It is a bit buzzy
- It is a little louder than I expected.
- The dolphin thing…yeah…
Thank you to Fun Factory for sending me the Dolly BI to test!
The Dolly Bi has gone on to the big nightstand in the sky (it’s been discontinued)
