I have made no secret of the fact that my g-spot and I are not quite besties. So when I was sent not only a g-spot specific vibrator but a g-spot specific vibrator that had been recommended to me once by the incomparable Ducky Doolittle I was pretty psyched. I was ready to see what the buzz was about. He he, vibrator pun- nailed it. Lets talk about the Slender G Waterproof Vibrator!
What’s the deal with this toy?
The Slender G Waterproof Vibrator is an ABS plastic vibrator designed specifically to help you find and stimulate the G-spot. It’s got a long thin neck and an angled, rounded head. It kind of reminds me of a giraffe.
How does it work?
Easy- peasy. Unscrew the very end to insert two AA batteries and that’s it. Pro tip: with plastic vibes when you go to insert the batteries there is sometimes a rolled piece of paper in the battery compartment- keep it there! It prevents the batteries from rattling against the hard plastic and being (technical term) loud as fuck.
The Slender G is operated with a dial on the base- that’s it. Super easy and hella controllable as far as intensity goes.
How does it feel?
So, it’s a hard plastic toy, ABS plastic specifically, but it’s got a finish that I feel like I’ve been seeing more of lately – the manufacturers tend to refer to it as “velvet touch”. Basically it means the toy feels a bit velvety over the hard plastic. Also it cuts way down on your hard plastic vibe feeling cold when you pick it up.
No, seriously, how does it feel?
The battle with my g-spot (actually I prefer to think of it more as an area, I’m campaigning to rename the entire female genital region the Mass Of Goodness or MOG) rages on. I just went right for it with this toy. Okay, actually I briefly tried to use it externally but that was not productive- it’s just not in the Slender G ‘s wheelhouse so I just let it do what it does and when for the g-spot. Remember metal detectors? How people would walk along beaches with them, running them over the sand looking for something good? That’s what I started doing with this toy. I didn’t do it long though because unlike other toys I’ve tried the Slender G’s shape zeroed right in and I found it immediately. I got super excited, it seemed we were on the path to greatness and then, well, my g-spot just got kind of, I don’t know, used to it (?) and it nothing I could do with the toy could make it excited again.
Here’s the thing- The Slender G has an impressive range- you can turn the intensity up pretty high- but it is buzzy (rather than rumbly) which doesn’t always work for me. Additionally I tried to just turn it on and let it go and do its thing- that’s not the right way for me. Here’s what I found later: Start with the Slender G as g-spot warm up is fabulous and also, depending on your preferences, getting started and then rocking the toy so it makes a knocking motion on the front wall of the vagina is another more successful approach. In short, play with it.
Things I’m down with:
- Yay body safe! ABS plastic is non-toxic and non-porous.
- It’s terrific for g-spot hunters! So many folks are trying to find the g-spot and the Slender G is made for that
- The price point. This is a decent toy and it is under $20!! This is extra great because folks who are new to g-spot play may not know yet that they enjoy it and this is a fairly low-risk investment.
- The intensity of the vibration is decent for a battery toy
- This nifty little info key on the back of the box, even if I don’t agree with everything it says (see my note below on sound)
Things that make me go grrr:
- It is buzzy. It just is.
- Volume. It’s a bit on the loud side. Not Hitachi loud but maybe “Hey Roommate, were you using an electric razor for 30 minutes just now?” loud.
Vital Stats
- Total Length: 8″
- Insertable Length: 7 1/4″
- Diameter: 1 2/5″
- Requires two AA Batteries, not included
