A while back I had just left for a trip when a package arrived at my house. Learning that said package was from Sparks, NV – home of Tantus – I insisted that it be opened and the contents photographed immediately.
Apart from looking kind of dramatic and cool, this picture got me super-excited because it contained two toys that I was incredibly excited to try out. We’ve already covered how my experience with the Cush 02 had me primed to try the Flurry 02 (the one on the right), similarly my great love of the Goddess had me super excited to try the Echo and even more so because it was the Echo Handle (as opposed to the shorter, harness-compatible version) and I had been so curious about the handled dildos! Basically, this package from Tantus was a huge win. So, let’s take a look at the Echo Handle dildo.
So, what’s the deal with this toy? So, it’s a silicone dildo with a handle for comfortable gripping
How does it work? This one is pretty straightforward- it’s a dildo. The big difference here is the handle- it’s a whole different way to hold on to it.
How does it feel? It’s a Tantus toy so it’s made with awesome silicone. In this case, glossy silicone which I don’t love the feeling of when I’m just hanging out holding the toy (I prefer the matte finish of something like the Cush 02) but when I used it I had to admit that the glossy silicone just moves more smoothly. The whole body of the toy has some give to it- you can squeeze it but it is pretty firm- not at all floppy. The finish on the handle is a bit rougher than the rest of the toy.
No, seriously, how does it feel? Kind of awesome. The texture on this guy may look daunting and they are a bit intense but in the best possible way. For me it feels like the best part of penetration (the part that elicits a gasp and a sigh and generally happiness) and lets it happen over and over. Not really a “thrust like crazy” dildo, more of a “slide in and out and squirm with pleasure” type of situation.
Things I’m down with:
- Yay silicone! And what’s more, yay for really amazing silicone from the company that put silicone sex toys on the map
- The shape is amazing. From the head to the girth to the texture, everything about it works for me.
- Cleaning is a breeze. Soap and water will do it but if you’re feeling intense it’s totally boilable.
- The Echo, like most Tantus toys, is just plain bad-ass.
- The handle makes it so easy to thrust with! Whether its the receiver or their partner doing the thrusting, the handle makes it so they can just keep going – not that they need to go all that long with this piece of wonderfulness.
- I have a lot of dildos. I have a lot of dildos that I like. I don’t have a lot of dildos I use on myself often. The handle on the Echo makes me want to use it on myself. Often, Score.
Things that make me go grr:
- I love using my similar piece – the Goddess- with my harness and this (due to the handle) is not harness compatible. It’s a silly quibble because I love the handle and also (wait for it…) there is a version of the Echo that doesn’t have a handle and is harness compatible AND accommodates a bullet vibe.
- Um… I’m not crazy about the color? I’m grasping at straws here… I really love this thing.
