There are some things that I love but just don’t own/use a whole lot. On that list: glass toys. I really love glass as a toy material, I tend to swoon over glass pieces but I don’t own much glass and consequently don’t use it often. So, I was pretty excited to try out the Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo set from Lovehoney.
So, what’s the deal with these toys? This is a set of two glass dildos – one clear and one pink. The clear piece is a thin, gently s-curved dildo with four bulbs on one end and one on the other and the pink piece is slight arch with two bulbs on one end, one on the other and 6 raised bumps on the inside of the arch.
How do they feel? They are glass so they feel lovely! Smooth and sleek with a good weight to them. These are simple, but sexy toys
No, seriously, how does it feel? Rather than take you through an entire session with two toys I will give you some highlights and not-so-high-lights.
The toys glide beautifully requiring way less lube that most of my collection but affording me the opportunity to bust out the silicone!
I liked the texture on the pink toy but I would have really liked it if it was on the other side too. That’s mostly because of my fascination with perineal sponge stimulation. See, for g-spot (or area I don’t love saying “spot”- so much pressure) stimulation I had to angle both of the dildos in such a way that caused them to rub against the perineum too so the bumps would have been good.
I used both of the toys in both ways they could be used and my favorite piece was the clear one. My preferred way to use it was with the four bumps inserted. It was good for thrusting and the offers some texture (bumps) while not being annoying (the little bumps on the pink one kind of annoyed me at times, the big bumps just glide)
Because the toys are glass they can be used for temperature play so I had some fun with dipping them in warm water before using them and then trying the same with cold. Temperature play is fun!
There was no orgasming for me. This is not surprising, me and my g-spot are not besties and dildo use for me tends to be be more about “ooh, that feels nice!” before finishing off with a vibrator (the Mystic Wand in this case) and I got to the “this feels nice!” place super fast with the clear one and then lost it and then found it… it was like a game. The pink one… I really wanted it to work but it was really just not right for me.
Things I’m down with:
- Yay glass! You can’t beat body safe non-porous materials, especially pretty ones!
- I love that the set comes with two, it’s a great chance to experiment with glass toys.
- Cleaning is a breeze. Soap and water will do it.
- The price is fabulous
Things that make me go grr:
- I would like the bags to be a bit beefier- I know the glass isn’t going to break but still…
- The packaging features a naked couple- it’s not super-explicit (no visible genitals, it could air during prime time) but still, I find there is just a difference between toys that are packaged with naked people on them an ones that aren’t.
- I don’t love either of the toys. So, while there are benefits to the set coming with two, I’d prefer there just be one that I love.
